This German course level A2 (basic speaker) is still the so-called waystage or elementary level. It is for students who acquired already the level A1 or have similar language experiences. We work during this NTU Spring Semester 2014 in our German language studies with the text and workbook (incl. CDs) >Berliner Platz 2 NEU<. Our language work focuses on phonetics, pronunciation and reading, to create (and re-create) a familiar relation with the German language and acquire it also as a basically correct spoken language. Well spoken -even simple- words improve the listening comprehension (Hoerverstehen - HV) and lead later to a comprehension of a whole sentence without any written support. Permanently in reference (revising language skills) with A1 we work during this NTU Spring Semester the lessons (Kapitel) 19 - 24 until the final examination in June 2014. We study in the German grammar among others adjective endings, indefinite pronouns (Indefinita: man, jemand, niemand), reflexive pronouns, relative pronouns (der/ den, die, das).
All these grammar studies will be exercised in writing (Textproduktion - TP). The oral expression and active participation of every student is in this language level A2 even more important than in A1 because the increasing vocabulary and expressions need to be exercised in the spoken language. 'Learning by doing' is the most effective or efficient way to remind and learn a foreign language. In this A2 level we will also study more -than in A1- the German civilization, culture, education system, customs, and we can compare this European culture and country with Taiwan. Very important for this language acquisition beside of the language work in our class is the continuous and intensive work of each student in self or group studies with the workbook, transcripts and especially the CDs, to deepen, steady or solidify each lesson.
